Municipalities can be key players in the new landscape for community solar whether in working with housing authorities, municipal utility authorities, local developers and other stakeholders to identify and assess sites for solar installations. Community solar allows one solar installation to serve many customers, making it a desirable option for those whose rooftops are not well-suited for solar, including for renters and multifamily residents who cannot install solar on the roof. We will discuss the multiple roles that municipalities can play in promoting, managing, and/or developing community solar projects. Green team members, municipal leaders and staff, elected officials, and housing authority officials are welcome to attend the webinar to learn more about New Jersey's latest market transforming solar initiative.
