VIDEO: Newark Student, Once Imprisoned, Urges Community Involvement [2:11]

Terrell is a student at Rutgers University-Newark, pursuing a Master's Degree in Public Administration. He is also a coordinator for NJ-STEP, a prisoner re-entry initiative that helps incarcerated youth obtain a college education upon their release. errell  believes that  every  citizen should give back to his/her community. "What do you want to do in life? What are the things you are interested in?" he asks.  Prior to enrolling at Rutgers, Terrell served five years in prison himself. Now he's committed to strengthening the "prison-to-school pipeline" and other college success initiatives for at-risk youth.
